Scents for warm weather.
Scent behaves differently in a warm, open room than a closed winter one. Heat lifts fragrance and moves it around, so a scent that felt gentle in June can feel strong in December. In the warm months we reach for the lighter, fresher notes and let them do less.
Jasmine is the one we light most in summer. It is soft and floral without being sweet, and it carries well on a warm evening. Rose is close behind, clean and a little green rather than heavy. Eucalyptus is the fresh, cooling note in the range, good for a bright kitchen or a bathroom, and welcome after a hot day.
The warmer, grounding scents still have their place. Vanilla and Juniper Berry are better kept for the cooler evenings, when a closed room can hold them. In high summer they can sit heavy, so we pour them less and light them later in the season.
If you are not sure where to start, the scent guide breaks the range down note by note, and the candles are there to browse by form. Start light, and let the season lead.
