Terms of Service

By placing an order with Éluvane Atelier you accept the following terms.

Orders

All orders are subject to availability. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order. Prices, products, and lead times are shown in South African Rand and may change without notice. The contract of sale is formed when we send the order confirmation email.

Payment

Payment is required at the time of order. We accept cards and instant EFT through PayFast, our secure payment processor. Some orders may instead be arranged with us directly over WhatsApp, in which case we confirm the items and payment with you before dispatch.

Delivery

We dispatch candles within 1-2 business days, and homeware and vessel candles within 2-3 business days of payment; an order with both is sent together within 2-3 business days. Custom and bulk orders take longer, and we confirm the date in writing before payment. Delivery timeframes are estimates, not guarantees. Orders may also be collected free of charge from our studio in Midrand, Johannesburg. Éluvane Atelier is not liable for delays caused by couriers or events outside our control. Risk of loss passes to you on delivery to the address you provided, or on collection.

Returns and refunds

You may return unused pieces within 14 days of delivery. You pay the courier cost to send a return back, unless the item arrived damaged or is faulty, in which case we cover it. Online orders also carry the 7-day cooling-off period under section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act. The full policy is on our Shipping & Returns page.

Custom and personalised pieces

Custom and personalised pieces are made to your own specifications, such as custom colours, personalised labels, and bespoke designs. This includes bulk orders made to your own specifications. If you change your mind before we start making your order, contact us and we will refund you in full. If we have already started making it, we will refund what you paid, less a small handling fee. Once your order is finished and with you, it cannot be returned or refunded unless it is faulty, and the 7-day cooling-off period does not apply. Lead times for custom pieces are confirmed in writing before payment.

Liability

Éluvane Atelier's total liability for any order is limited to the value of that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008, or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 2002.

Intellectual property

All product photography, branding, and copy on this site is the property of Éluvane Atelier and may not be reproduced without permission.
