Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Éluvane Atelier collects, uses, and protects personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

What we collect

We collect only the information needed to process your order and respond to your enquiries: name, email address, delivery address, phone number, and order history. Card and payment details are handled directly by our payment processor, PayFast, and are never seen or stored on our servers.

How we use it

We use your information to fulfil orders, send order updates, respond to your messages, and - only with your explicit consent - send occasional newsletters. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Who else handles your information

To run the store we rely on a small number of trusted service providers (operators, under POPIA), who process personal information only on our behalf and only as needed:

PayFast - processes card and EFT payments. We never see or store your card details.
The Courier Guy / PUDO - delivery: receives your name, address, and phone number to fulfil shipping.
Resend - sends your order confirmations and, with consent, newsletters.
Google Analytics - anonymous usage analytics, only after you accept analytics cookies.
Google Maps - powers optional address autocomplete at checkout; when you use it, your typed address is sent to Google.
Google Customer Reviews - after a purchase, and only if you have accepted cookies, we may share your email address and order number with Google so it can email you an optional survey about your experience. You choose on the confirmation page whether to receive it, and you can ignore the email. This also lets us show a seller rating on the site.
Vercel - hosts the website and stores order records securely.

Cookies

We use a small set of cookies for site functionality and, with your consent, anonymous analytics. You can decline analytics cookies via the consent banner at any time. Declining does not affect your ability to use the site or place orders.

Your rights under POPIA

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. To exercise these rights, reach us through our contact form or at hello@eluvane.co.za. We respond within 14 business days.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your information, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.

Data retention

Order records are retained for seven years to comply with South African tax law. Newsletter subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe. We delete other personal information on request.
