We make hand-poured soy, beeswax and coconut candles in small batches in Midrand, Johannesburg. Our moulded favour candles are soy wax, beeswax and a touch of coconut wax. The Fluted Tumbler favour is a pure soy candle, poured into our own hand-cast eco resin tumbler. We never use paraffin. Our favours suit weddings, traditional ceremonies, birthdays and company events too.

We make them by hand
We pour each candle to order and add your printed label. Then we wrap them and courier them to you, or you collect in Midrand.

The Fluted Tumbler is a pure soy candle poured into our own hand-cast eco resin tumbler, so guests keep the tumbler when the candle is done. For marble tumblers, like our 160 for one event, ask for a quote. The small eco resin dishes hold rings, earrings and keys. They are splash-resistant, but not for food.

Big orders
160 favours for one event.
We made 160 marble Fluted Tumbler favours for one event. Each one was a small candle of pure soy wax, poured into our own hand-cast eco resin tumbler. We packed each one in a clear gift box with twine and a label, and the guests took them home after the event.
We have also poured 180 candles in one order for a decor shop: ribbed pillars and dinner tapers in cream, blush and mocha. Before we poured the rest, we sent the shop a photo of the first batch to check the colour.

Traditional weddings
Traditional weddings and ceremonies.
We make favours for traditional weddings and ceremonies too, such as umembeso, umabo and lobola celebrations. Every family does things in its own way, so you choose what suits your day.
Pick the candles and the colours, and put your own words on the label, such as the two family names and the date. The words can be in your own language, up to 25 characters.
For 20 or more pieces, send us the date and the number of guests, and we will send you a quote.

Every candle is made to order. Candles with a personalised label are dispatched within 3-5 business days. For a wedding, order early and send us your date on WhatsApp.
For 20 or more pieces, ask us for a quote. A bulk order in our standard colours takes about 1 to 3 weeks. Custom colours take at least 6 weeks. We ask for a 50% deposit to start, balance before we send.

- What are wedding favours?
- Wedding favours are small thank-you gifts the couple gives each guest to take home after the wedding. Sweets, small candles and keepsakes are common favours. A small candle with your names on the label is one guests use at home.
- How much do wedding favours cost?
- Our wedding favour candles start at R 40 per guest with a printed name label: the Scallop Shell at R 30, plus R 10 for the label. Your names and the date fit on one label. Bigger candles and keepsakes cost more. Each card on this page shows its live price.
- How many wedding favours should I order?
- Usually one per guest. To spend less, give one per couple or per family. It helps to order a few extra for the bridal party and for guests who join late.
- Are candles good wedding favours?
- Yes. A small candle is useful, it lasts, and it is easy to take home. Ours are made from natural wax, never paraffin, and a label with your names makes each one personal.
- How much does a personalised label cost?
- R 10 per candle, on any candle you buy on its own. A set of candles pays R 10 for each candle in it, and each one gets the label. There is no minimum order. If you leave the label empty, there is no charge.
- What can the label say?
- Up to 25 characters: your names, a wedding date, a guest name, or a short message like "Thank you for coming". It is printed on a small label and added to the candle.
- Can each candle have a different name?
- Yes. Type the first name and add the candle to your cart, then change the name and add it again. Each name becomes its own line in the cart, so it works well as place cards.
- How early should I order wedding favours?
- As early as you can. Candles with a personalised label are dispatched within 3-5 business days. For 20 or more pieces, ask us for a quote first: about 1 to 3 weeks in our standard colours, or at least 6 weeks for custom colours. For a wedding in December or January, order early.
- Can I collect in Midrand?
- Yes. Choose collection at checkout and collect free of charge in Midrand, Johannesburg. Or we courier anywhere in South Africa. On a quote, we can also send to your venue, or to more than one address.
- Can you pack each favour in a gift box?
- Yes. We can pack each favour in a clear gift box with twine and a label, like the 160 favours we made for one event. Ask for it on your quote, and we will price it there.
- What are the candles made of?
- Our moulded candles are a blend of soy wax, beeswax and a little coconut wax, with a cotton wick. Candles poured into our vessels, like the Fluted Tumbler, are pure soy wax, with a cotton or wooden wick. We make them in small batches in Midrand, Johannesburg, and we never use paraffin.
- Can we add a candle for someone we have lost?
- Yes. A candle with their name on the label can stand on a small table at the wedding, in memory of someone who is missed. Memorial candles
