160 marble tumbler favours for one event

We recently made 160 candle favours for one event. Each favour was a small candle in a marble tumbler, packed in a clear gift box with twine and a label. The guests took them home after the event. This is how a favour order like that comes together.

The favour

The tumbler is our Fluted Tumbler, a ribbed tumbler that we hand-cast in eco resin. For this order we cast it in marble: black and white swirled together by hand, so no two tumblers have the same pattern. Then we poured a candle of pure soy wax into each one.

Once the candle has burned down, the tumbler stays. Guests can keep it for rings, earrings or small things on a shelf. It is splash-resistant, but it is not food-safe, so it is not for drinks or food.

The packaging

Each favour went into a clear gift box, tied with twine, with a label. The clear box shows off the marble before the box is opened. You can order this packaging for your own favours, and we price it on your quote.

How we make a big order

We pour candles by hand, in batches. On a big order, we send you a photo of the first batch so you can check the colour before we make the rest. A bulk order in our standard colours takes about 1 to 3 weeks to make, and custom colours at least 6 weeks.

We have also poured 180 candles for a decor shop: ribbed pillars in three sizes and two kinds of dinner taper, in cream, blush and mocha. You can read more about how our bulk orders work.

1. Tell us what you need. The date, the number of guests and the look you want.
2. We send a quote with the price per favour, and the packaging if you want it.
3. You pay a 50% deposit to start, and the balance before we send.
4. We make, pack and send. We courier anywhere in South Africa, deliver to your venue, or you collect in Midrand.
