Year-end gifts for employees and clients in South Africa

At the end of the year, many companies thank their employees and clients with a gift. A handmade gift, made in South Africa, is a more personal and unique choice than the usual branded pen or mug. This is how to choose one, set a budget and order in time.

What works

• For employees. A small candle with each person's name on the label. It feels personal, and it is easy to hand out at the year-end function.
• For clients. A vessel candle, like the Fluted Tumbler or the Ribbed Vessel, or an eco resin piece for the desk. A vessel candle is pure soy wax poured into a vessel we hand-cast in eco resin, and the vessel stays once the candle is done.
• For key clients. One of our gift sets: a candle and an eco resin piece, wrapped together.

Setting a budget per person

Start with your budget per person, then pick the piece that fits it. Each product page shows the live price. A name label adds R10 per candle.

For 20 or more pieces, we send you a quote with the price per piece, so you know the total before we start. If you want each gift boxed, we can pack it in a clear gift box with twine and a label. We price the packaging on your quote.

Labels and logos

A label can carry each person's name or a short message, up to 25 characters, spaces included. Company logos can be printed on labels too, priced on your quote.

Quotes, invoices and delivery

• We send a quote first, and we can send an invoice.
• We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is added.
• A 50% deposit starts the order, and the balance is paid before we send it.
• We can deliver to your office, to several addresses, or you can collect in Midrand.

What the gifts are made of

Our moulded candles, like pillars and spheres, are made from a natural blend of soy wax, beeswax and a touch of coconut wax, with a cotton wick. Candles poured into our vessels are pure soy wax, with a cotton or wooden wick. Our homeware is hand-cast eco resin, sealed so it is splash-resistant, but it is not food-safe. We never use paraffin.

When to order

Every piece is made by hand to order. A bulk order in our standard colours takes about 1 to 3 weeks to make, and colours matched to your brand take at least 6 weeks. The courier is busy in December too, so ask early. When our Christmas order-by dates are set, they show on our Christmas gifts page.
